Remove Beginner Stock Buy Picking Fears

If you're a beginner and need an idea on how to pick a stock that won't lose in the stock market; or just scared of a stock market crash and you need a quick strategy, read on.



You're interested in making some money on a stock? Great, but something about picking one scares you. Put your fears aside and take this advice. To make money on a stock, you MUST BE PATIENT; that fruit tree does not bear fruit over night.


SELECTING STOCKS SMARTER. I love trading stocks and manage over a half a million dollars for family and friends (consider linking to another post promoting a personal service, and how you gain their confidence), it's not much, but the small donations keep me motivated. Now, this is a small part of my strategy which I hope you practice in your selection of a guaranteed winner. The links within the steps are examples and trust me, none of the websites sponsor or pay me. They are to be used at your own risk:

  1. Pick a stock that has been around for at least 15 years or more.

  2. Look at its historical price graph. Click MAX above the graph (at the time of this post the MAX data in 1980).

    1. Observe the fun, yet scary, money making stock price roller coaster.

  3. Find a summary of the business (sometimes called Profile in other sources)

    1. Identify the industry the stock is in. Look in the right column at: Related ETFs

    2. Here is one of the market industries of the stock.

      1. This is a Full Chart view with many options

    3. See how this industry stock price roller coaster compares to the stock.

      1. In Full Chart view click Compare

      2. Now add the Active Symbol we're working with "EIX" and click Apply

      3. You should also click MAX

  4. General highlights to help you make a selection

    1. Buy/Sell indicators

      1. Analyst opinions

      2. Use other websites for different analyst opinions

    2. Search for news on the stock.

      1. Here's an example of how to searched for "EIX"

      2. Click News, Tools, Recent and select Past 24 hours, then view Week, etc

    3. Practice

      1. Some websites let you following your selected stocks

      2. See how your selections do
